Installer created some files in (x86) anyway, so this installation was really a garbage. I thought: what the heck, I'll put it into 'Program Files'. After hours of Googling, I found that TOAD should be installed into a directory whose name doesn't contain brackets. You might even get ORA-12514 or ORA-06413, although everything was installed successfully. As TOAD is 32-bit application, it - as any other 32-bit application installed on 64-bit Windows - goes into 'Program Files (x86)' directory. What bothers TOAD is that it 'hates' to be installed into a directory whose name contains brackets. It doesn't matter whether you install TOAD first, or Oracle Client first.
